Motivational Interviewing in Health Care Settings
Presenter: Melinda Hohman, Leslie Sperling
Objectives:
1)
Understand the principles of motivational interviewing and the basic structure and content of a motivational interview;
2) Describe skills that can be used to employ brief motivational health behavior change counseling in clinical settings; and
3) Identify practical considerations for the use of MI in social work practice, especially with clients with substance use disorders.
