New Membership Category The nine previous membership categories have been consolidated to the following four. The new membership classifications are as follows:
Full Member: Management Social worker with full or part-time management responsibility who holds a social work degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Full Member: Direct Patient Care, Transitional, Emeritus, Faculty and Student Direct Patient Care: Social worker in direct patient care only, without director, manager or chief in their title, who holds a social work degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Transitional A full member or associate member who by resignation or termination of employment is no longer employed n a health care setting.
Emeritus A retired full member or associate member whom before retirement met the eligibility requirements for membership.
Faculty A dean, faculty member, or university-based field practicum supervisor at a university or college.
Student A student currently enrolled in a CSWE program at a university or college.
Associate Member An individual or business who does not hold a social work degree but has substantial responsibility or interest in the leadership of social work functions in a health care setting.
Group/Team Discount A discounted member of $80 will apply to multiple members from the same institutional campus. The first member must pay the Full Member fee of $135.
