The inaugural SSWLHC Leadership Institute held in Philadelphia last year was a major success thanks to the dedication of the faculty, mentors and first time attendees! This pilot was envisioned to be a stepping-stone for additional leadership training and products to be offered at a later time. The SSWLHC Board, LI Faculty, and Co-Chairs have been examining options to make such leadership education even more accessible, affordable and successful for our members. Holding the Leadership Institute in conjunction with the annual conference this year presented special challenges for many in regards to travel and time. After much discussion, SSWLHC leadership made a decision to showcase the Leadership Institute as a separate event in 2008. Dates and location for the 2008 program will soon be announced. We’ve already had a lot of members show interest in attending. Additional program details will be available here in the near future.
